Fanwood Receives $1 Million from State to Build New Library

FANWOOD, NJ — A state appropriation of $1 million was presented to the Borough of Fanwood Tuesday night at the monthly Council work session. The presentation was made by NJ State Senate President Nicholas Scutari, Assemblywoman Linda Carter and Assemblyman Jim Kennedy.
The money is earmarked for Fanwood’s new library, currently under construction at the site of the old library at North Avenue and Tillotson Road. Construction is progressing well, and the projected date for completion in Spring 2024.
Meanwhile, library operations continue at the historic train station/Fanwood Museum on North Ave.
