SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — New Jersey Senate President Nicholas Scutari presented a $1 million check to the Scotch Plains Township Council for the construction of their new Emergency Services Building on Plainfield Avenue.
“We are very grateful for the funds and for the senator coming himself to make the presentation,” said Scotch Plains Mayor Josh Losardo. “This is something we’ve been working on for a very long time, every penny goes a long way.”
The plan for this new EMS building was introduced to the council back in July 2023 and was unanimously approved by the council, upon presentation from Scotch Plains Director of Redevelopment Tom Strowe, on Aug. 8, 2023.
