ELIZABETH – Union County Commissioner Joseph C. Bodek is the new chairman of the Union County Board of County Commissioners.
Bodek, a Linden resident, was sworn in as chairman during the county’s 169th reorganization meeting on Jan. 1.
Bodek announced the county’s initiatives for the new year with the theme, “Union County 2026: Honoring the Past, Strengthening Our Tomorrow.” He said the county will emphasize stewardship, continuity and strengthening programs and services that residents rely on daily.
