Election 2023: Democrats Retain Control of Union County Commissioner Board

UNION COUNTY, NJ — Democrats were elected to three seats on the county Board of Commissioners, continuing the party’s winning streak which has lasted more than two decades, unofficial results of the Nov. 7 general election show.
The results include early voting, machine voting and vote by mail ballots that have been received at this time, according to the county clerk’s website.
Michéle Delisfort, a newcomer to the commissioner board, was elected with 48,693 votes. Delisfort, a Union Township Committee member, was tapped to run for the seat vacated by Commissioner Angela Garretson, who was not seeking re-election after serving two three-year terms.
